Uday Khemka is the Vice Chairman of the SUN Group of companies and an ardent advocate of new and renewable energy. He has almost 30 years of entrepreneurial and investment experience in varied emerging markets, including India. His passion for new energy (including distributed renewable energy, energy storage and electric mobility) led him to set up SUN New Energy Holdings, partnered with Virya Mobility 5.0 (led by Chetan Maini, founder of India’s first electric car Reva) to form SUN Mobility.
Uday is on the Board of Governors of the Indian School Of Business (ISB), the Board of The Synergos Institute in New York and has been elected a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Educated at Eton College, he received his undergraduate and Masters degrees at Cambridge University and received a MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar). He has been chairman of the CEFF, engaging in policy formulation to attract Japanese investment into the Indian energy sector.
