Marianne van Keep is chief sustainability officer at Verstegen Spices & Sauces, a family business in Rotterdam the Netherlands with approximately 500 employees and market leader in the Netherlands with sales offices in Belgium, UK, Ireland and Spain.
Verstegen Spices & Sauces has formulated 33 integral, sustainable ambitions in the field of people, planet, profit and participation. Priority is given to green chains or the climate goals, from biodiversity restoration and regenerative agriculture to the desire to become historically climate neutral. Marianne has worked at Verstegen for 22 years and is a member of the executive committee.
She was also elected CSR manager of the year in 2021, member of the advisory board of Food Policy, member of the expert team of NEVI (interest group for buyers) and of the CSR think tank EVO Fenedex (interest group for exporting companies), chair of the impact committee of the Sustainable Spice Initiative, member of the advisory board of the Kotler Impact Institute, member of the steering committee of the ICSR covenant and ambassador of the anti-child labor fund.
