This May, all our staff took part in a week of knowledge sharing and future planning hosted at our brand-new London headquarters. Through a series of interactive sessions, teams shared inspiring ideas and expertise, addressing global climate change themes.
Team growth and vision
We have doubled in size over the last three years, with over 70 new additions to the team. This recent rapid expansion, and subsequent office relocation, marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the organisation.
This global away week presented a unique opportunity to channel our collective energy and enthusiasm into setting out a strategy for driving climate action, fast, in the year ahead.
Delivering impact internationally
It is crucial that we work in an aligned and ambitious way that delivers maximum impact. One of the most powerful aspects of the conference was getting to hear directly from our board of trustees on the global state of the climate crisis.
There is no denying the sheer scale of the work to be done in the Climate Decade if we are to keep rising temperatures under 1.5°C - nor the gravity of the consequences if we do not.
That is why we are prioritising the international expansion of our initiatives and building networks to unlock the power of collective action. Time is short. Our systems, spanning energy, transport, built environment, and industry, work to hold decision makers from business and government accountable in the time we have left.
Stronger together
If there’s one thing we have learnt from the Global Away Week, it's that the people who make up this organisation have a huge amount of knowledge and passion. The power this has to inspire change cannot be underestimated.
We have a steep road ahead, but collectively we have the drive to keep confronting the challenge head on and helping others to do the same.
