It's Time for a new era of climate leadership and ambition
Monday, September 23, 9am - 10:30am ET
We’re in an age of extremes. Emissions continue to rise alongside record investment in the clean energy transition. The global climate agenda set in the year to come will be the most important measure in ensuring we deliver on our pledges and honor our commitments. We’re entering a new era – one which requires bold action. One which sees all declarations transformed into real-world action. It's Time to push the barriers of possible and lead from the front. To tip the balance in favor of the planet, we must close the gap between the leadership we have and the leadership we need.
It’s Time to think big, hit fast forward, and work together to deliver on climate.
It's Time to deliver on climate finance and power sustainable growth
Monday, September 23, 4:30pm - 6pm ET
In the modern world, national prosperity and the state of the planet and its preservation are closely interweaved. For all economies, particularly those at the frontline of the climate emergency, the mobilization of financing to adapt and adopt a future-proofed transition plan is paramount to its survival. In the year ahead, we must deliver on the provision of capital flows to power our twin plan to protect the environment and spearhead growth. The power of private capital will be key in investing in our green future and ensuring a roadmap to sustainable development for governments and businesses.
It’s Time to ensure every balance sheet reflects its role in delivering the promise of our net zero world.
It's Time to unleash the power of innovation and technology to achieve net-zero
Tuesday, September 24, 9am - 10:30am
With the twin policies of the Inflation Reduction Act and the Green Deal Industrial Plan sparking a green subsidy manufacturing race in the Global North, and China accelerating ahead on green tech investment and EV deployment, the stage is set for innovative leadership, policy and clean technology to supercharge the transition to a net zero economy. We’ve come to rely on innovation to decarbonize, but the proof will be in the emissions and the power of technology to help make our net-zero future a reality in a scalable, replicable, and equitable manner.
It’s Time for clean technology’s multiplier effect to kick-in and help keep the 1.5ºC aligned pathway for our countries and corporations in sight.
It's Time
We’re in the age of urgency. People and companies are waking up to the fact that we need to act, fast, as they see the effects of climate change all around them.
Yet we’re still not going fast enough. Together at Climate Week NYC, we need to break down barriers that are holding us back. We’re putting inspiring businesses and governments that are driving the momentum front and center. We’re driving the transition and convincing hesitant decision makers and climate leaders to start taking action by inspiring them, and showing what can be achieved.
That makes Climate Week NYC the event that drives climate action by those at the very top of business and politics, but also by communities, artists and activists, bound by the same message: It’s Time.
